Our faith

Everything we believe and teach is grounded in the Bible. We regard it as the only authority in matters of faith. Its central message is one of salvation for sinners by grace through faith in Jesus. In other words, everyone who has ever done anything wrong finds forgiveness in Jesus, who died on a cross to pay for your sins and to save you from their consequences. We don’t earn that salvation by any effort of our own. Rather, Jesus simply invites us to believe that he has done everything for us.

If you want to find out more about what we believe and teach, we host regular Bible Basics courses for anyone curious about what the Bible says. Use the Contact Us page to find out when the next course begins, or to schedule a private conversation with Pastor Metzger.

It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect… Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
— 1 Peter 1:18-21 (NIV)
