Sunday Bible Hour

September to May, from 11:15 - 12:00pm

After church, everyone is invited to stay for an extra hour to dig deeper into the comforting truths we hear in worship so that we can all grow in our faith together.

For children 2-12 years old, we have 3 separate, age-appropriate Sunday School classrooms where they will spend time hearing Bible stories, singing, making crafts, and playing games. Our dedicated teachers foster a nurturing environment centered on the life-saving truth of the Gospel. Our goal is for your children to experience the peace of knowing that Jesus lived and died for them. Additionally, our teachers are committed to equipping parents with tools necessary to spiritually nurture their children at home.

For teens and adults, we offer a diverse range of biblical and topical studies designed to deepen our understanding of what the Bible says and what it means for our lives. Our Pastor draws out details and insights that bring aspects of the Bible into sharper focus. It’s a welcoming space where people of all backgrounds are encouraged to engage with God's Word and connect with one another.

Current Worship Series

The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod is celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2025 under the theme “Christ Through Us.” From one seminary in 1865, one world mission in 1893, and 800 congregations mostly in the Midwest as of 1965, we can now easily see how Christ has worked through his good news of salvation in Word and sacraments to move this body of believers to establish a Scripture-based ministerial education system, world missions in 45 countries, and more than 1,200 congregations across North America.

For 175 years, Christ has called WELS members to faith and has provided opportunities for them to serve him. He has called all of us to serve in our vocations, and he has granted blessings when and where he will. He has called some of us to serve the rest of us in the ministry of the gospel, and he has granted blessings when and where he will. We realize our sinfulness and are astounded that Christ chooses to do his work through us.

Join us this Sunday for worship!

Standing on the Rock; Sharing the Living Water

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church exists to help everyone stand more firmly on the Spiritual Rock, Jesus, so that we faithfully and energetically share his lifegiving water with the community and the world through our words and actions.

Nestled in historic Sturgeon Heights, St. Peter’s has been serving communities in Central Alberta for more than 50 years. Our namesake, the Apostle Peter, was one of Jesus’ disciples famous for being the first to confess that Jesus is the Saviour of the World. We share Peter’s confession and conviction and we want to share the wonderful news of Jesus with you too! The highlight of our ministry is weekly worship on Sundays at 10:00am. Schedule a visit with our pastor to learn more, or just stop on in!
